Cleaning is only half of it. A proper visit checks the generation figures, the connections, the mountings and the inverter, so you find out whether a drop is dirt or a fault — and get it put right either way.
Pure water panel cleaning
Deionised water and soft brushes on telescopic poles — no detergents, no abrasives and no scratched coatings. Panels dry spot-free without chemicals running into your gutters.
Moss, algae & pollen removal
Growth along panel edges and in the frame channels holds water and shades cells. We clear it back, including the build-up that collects on low-pitch roofs.
Bird proofing & nest removal
Pigeons nesting under panels cause fouling, blocked airflow and chewed cable. We clear nests and fit mesh proofing around the array perimeter.
Output & performance check
We compare current generation against what the system should be doing for the roof, the season and the weather, so you know whether cleaning actually fixed anything.
String testing & fault finding
Open circuit voltage, insulation resistance and string-by-string testing to trace dead panels, failed optimisers, water ingress in connectors and damaged DC cable.
Thermal & visual inspection
Hot spots, cracked cells, delamination, corroded connectors and scorched terminals found before they become a failed panel or a safety problem.
Inverter faults & replacement
Error codes, tripping, fans failing, or an inverter simply past its life. We diagnose, repair where sensible and replace where it is not, then reconfigure and retest.
Mounting, flashing & roof checks
Rail fixings and clamps torque-checked, lead flashing and seals inspected, loose panels secured, and any roof damage reported with photos before it lets water in.

Planned maintenance visits
Annual or six-monthly cleaning and inspection on a schedule, with a photo report each visit. Ideal for landlords, managing agents and multi-site operators.
Before & after photo reports
You are usually not on the roof, so we photograph the condition we found, the work done and anything that needs attention, and send it through after the visit.
Repairs, certificates & records
Electrical work carried out under our NICEIC Approved registration, with test results and certificates issued and kept on file for warranty and compliance.

What every cleaning & maintenance visit includes
If cleaning will not fix your output, we will say so
Sometimes the panels are spotless and the problem is a failed optimiser, a dead string, a tired inverter or shading from a tree that has grown ten feet since the system went in. We would rather tell you that on the phone than take money for a clean that changes nothing. Where the fix is electrical, roofing or simply a system that has reached the end of its life, we will give you the real picture and the cost of putting it right.
Solar servicing sits inside our facilities work, not beside it
NICEIC Approved electrical work, gutter cleaning, pressure washing, planned maintenance, safety certificates and reactive call-outs all come from the same Clifton Moor team. If we are on your roof for the panels, the gutters, the flashing and the electrics are covered by people who already know the building.
