Belt breakages are a common thing on vacuum cleaners and can be caused by different factors but the fix is simple. Most common causes of a belt breaking is down to age and use over time. However a break can also be caused by jammed brush bars often caused by them being clogged up with debris or the brush bar needing to be replaced. It is recommended you check the brush bar rotates freely without resistance before fitting the new drive belt or the new belt will suffer the same.
